Chanting to Welcome New Year 2010
To invoke the blessings of the Buddha for the New Year, on 31st night of December, 2009, the Oxford Buddha Vihara will hold a special chanting at 10.30pm. The chanting will go on (until the next year, 2010, January 1st) until around 12.15am.
The chanting will last for one hour and forty-five minutes. The sutta for recitation includes the Dhammacakka- pavattana- sutta, the Mangala-sutta, the Ratana-sutta and the Metta-sutta.
A special Ooloong tea and samousa will be served to keep every one awake!
Those who wish to stay overnight at the Vihara, please book in advance.
