A Four-Week Sutta Study Class for Everyone!

Tuesday evenings at 7.45pm.

No fees charged.

The Venerable Dr. Khammai Dhammasami, DPhil (Oxford), the abbot of the OBV, is conducting a four-week sutta study class on Tuesday evenings from 26th September 2006.

The Mangala-sutta or "the discourse on mangala", is one of the best known Buddhist discourses in South and South-east Asia, forming a part of daily chanting in many temples, including OBV. It gives 38 kinds of progressive actions, traditionally known as blessings, ranging from our favourable environment of our childhood to marriage, from debate to the highest spiritual achievement.

The discussion will relate to the heart of the Buddhist practice known as the Middle Path.
