Activities

OBV offers a variety of daily, weekly and monthly activities such as chanting, retreats, celebrations, and outreach.

Daily Chanting & Meditation

Buddhism was originally an oral tradition passed down through chanting and we chant in Pali, the oldest language of the written teachings. We chant before we meditate in the morning at 7:30am and in the evening at 7:00pm.

This helps to remind us of what we value and strengthens our motivation. Sharing in this activity is a powerful means to soothe and focus the mind.

You are very welcome to join in the chanting but please do not feel that you have to.
